According to experts, including self-care routines before commencing work at your desk at home or while driving to your workplace may be a fantastic opportunity to check in with yourself.

Whether you know it or not, Joel Dvoskin, a psychologist at the University of Arizona College of Medicine, believes that beginning your workday in a bad attitude may truly ruin your day.

The good news is that when you approach work mode with optimism, the reverse may be true.

Dvoskin claims that even considering your mood before you begin your workday may have an impact on how much fun you have at it as well as how productive and cooperative you are with others.

Fortunately, there are several things you can do before work to assess your mental health, elevate your mood, and boost productivity.

According to professionals, there are three ways:

1. Take some time to relax.

According to New York City-based life planner and relationship specialist Chanel Dokun, mindfulness exercises early in the day may be quite beneficial for your productivity. Dokun practises what she refers to as "reclaiming the morning," which entails setting aside the first 20 to 30 minutes of the day for solitude.

During that time, you need to "let yourself to pay attention to what the interests or pursuits of your own heart are. So that before you interact with the rest of the world, your voice is the loudest, Dokun explains.

She continues, "How you utilise that time is entirely up to you." She suggests things like keeping a diary or utilising the time to take a "holy stop," or a minute to yourself to consider what you want to do in the day.

During your holy pause practise, Dokun advises you to consider the following questions:

What matters to me today?

What means the most to me?

What exactly am I yearning for right now?

How do I define success?

It may often be sufficient to put you on the correct route for your mental health, she adds, if you simply take a minute to stop and ask yourself those questions.

2. Perform physical exercise

Discover your preferred kind of physical activity, and try to do it as often as you can before starting work, advises Dvoskin. He points out that even a simple five-minute daily stroll near your house might be a terrific beginning.

According to certain study, rhythm may assist to centre and relax individuals, so when you walk and get some rhythm and fresh air, it has a positive impact, he adds.

3. Pamper yourself first thing in the morning.

According to Dokun, pampering yourself can now look quite differently for you than it does for the next individual. However, she claims that doing what you love or giving yourself to something you like might provide you an energy boost for a successful workday.

She argues that in the mornings, "we realise that our existence doesn't belong to us, so we turn over, attempting to grab onto every last minute that we can retain for ourselves." Therefore, I advise scheduling a morning activity that you truly look forward to and find fascinating.

According to Dokun, here are some fantastic ways to reward yourself:

Slow down your morning ritual.

Prepare your preferred breakfast.

Play your favourite music while getting dressed.

Get your favourite beverage at the coffee shop in the greatest size possible.

View an episode of the programme you like.

Whatever you do with the time, making time for yourself to check in with yourself in the morning is crucial.

Recognize that professional growth includes personal development and taking care of your emotional health, advises Dokun. You will be more productive in your work life if you take care of yourself in your free time.
